Amazon AWS Outage

An Amazon AWS outage occurred on October 19, 2025. The outage was caused by a race condition in DNS automation processes, that applied an empty DNS record that then required manual intervention to repair. Failures for services continued over the next 14 hours due to large number of simultaneous failovers and subsequently high latency state checks.
